Electroshock Therapy Is Used to Treat Severe Depression and Agitation in Demented Patients – So Naturally the Chinese are Using It On Homosexuals

I was surprised to learn that electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is widely used to treat major depressive disorders in suicidal patients and severe agitation in demented elderly patients and it is apparently pretty effective. The Chinese government viewed homosexuality as a crime until 1997 and a mental disorder until 2001. Chinese gays are desperate to not be discovered or even try to “cure” themselves – so they pay $800 to have nurses apply electrical shocks to their genitals! Pretty graphic and unsettling video in this article.
